Eddie Hook

Edward has been a key team player at national and international events, he has crewed for Marcus Green in the UK and Luxembourg, David Bareford in Czech Republic and France and Dominic Bareford at the 2014 Junior World Championships where the team finished 1st. He has also crewed for former competition pilot Neil Gabriel in France and Luxembourg. Since his two elder brothers have got their licences he has crewed in Lithuania at the 2016 Junior Worlds and at the GP and Nationals events in the UK.

Edward is a strong crew man and has fantastic driving and navigational skills, his abilities were shown at the 2016 Junior Worlds during the practice flights where he did solo retrieves, in a city he’d never been to and managed to drive and navigate along busy roads and tiny tracks. He managed to find the balloon moments after it had landed! His marker throwing has also shown to be highly rated, he has thrown markers for his brother Thomas at GP events and for David Bareford at the Coupe de Europe event in France. He has also observed at the UK Nationals.
